2 Year Program

Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of individuals employed as make-up artists to design and apply make-up for a range of purposes and occasions across the beauty, fashion, media and entertainment industries. This includes working cooperatively with a range of individuals including photographers, fashion stylists and media production staff. Work is typically conducted as part of a team or on a free lance basis in settings such as make-up studios, retail cosmetic counters, fashion and media sets and photography studios.


Pathways

This qualification provides a pathway to further education in the hair and beauty industries. Completion of this certificate may provide credit transfers into the CUA51020 Diploma of Screen and Media Specialist Makeup Services or higher.

Entry Requirements / Prerequisites

This course can only be completed as part of a VETDSS program in Years 10, 11 or 12. Inspiring Training Academy requires all applicants to complete an application form and LLND assessment. The completion of the enrolment process is in conjunction with the student's individual secondary school and the Head start program

Assessments

All units are assessed in 3 ways:

  • Online written assessments
  • Portfolio Assignments
  • Practical demonstration of skills & knowledge combined

Student Support

Students undertake a pre training review (LLND) to determine their support needs. Students can also self-declare on their enrolment form any support requirements they may have. For general learning difficulties, the assessors can help students access a range of programs as outlined in the Student Handbook.
