The SHB20216 Certificate II in Salon Assistant is an exciting entry-level qualification designed especially for secondary school students interested in starting a career in Barbering. This qualification is intended to prepare individuals for further training in the barbering and hairdressing industry. The individual may perform a variety of tasks under supervision and with guidance from hairdressers/barbers who manage the client services
Entry Requirements / Prerequisites
This course can only be completed as part of a VCE or VCE VM program in Years 10, 11 or 12. Inspiring Training Academy requires all applicants to complete an application form and LLND assessment. The completion of the enrolment process is in conjunction with the student's individual secondary school.

- Practical demonstration of skills & knowledge combined
Student Support
Students undertake a pre training review (LLND) to determine their support needs. Students can also self-declare on their enrolment form any support requirements they may have. For general learning difficulties, the assessors can help students access a range of programs as outlined in the Student Handbook.
